Sri Swamini Mayatitananda (Formerly Maya Tiwari) Sri Swamini Mayatitananda is a pre-eminent spiritual Mother who emanates silence and wisdom. A world renowned spiritual teacher, she has helped transform thousands of lives with her healing presence. Affectionately called Mother, she fills a significant void in the world culture as nurturer, healer, educator –transforming disease and despair into health and inner harmony. Mother belongs to India’s prestigious Vedic lineage – Veda Vyasa.

She was carefully tutored by His Holiness, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati to preserve the precious oral teachings of the Vedas and was thereafter initiated by him as a Synnasini – one of a small number of women in the tradition to receive such an honor. Mother is the spiritual head of Wise Earth School of Ayurveda and the founder of Mother Om Mission (MOM), a charitable organization in Guyana, SA that disseminates Wise Earth’s unique inner-medicine healing education for at-risk communities. Mother lives a reclusive life at the Wise Earth School in the Pisgah Mountains of North Carolina, and travels extensively throughout the world to give darshana to the physically and spiritually impaired, community advocates and social workers, inner city youths and their mentors, and all peoples and citizens who strive to contribute to the betterment of life. She has been an eminent keynote presenter at conferences such as Millennium Peace Summit Conference, New York; Women’s Religious and Spiritual Leaders Initiative, United Nations, Geneva, Switzerland; Yoga Journal Conference; Noetic Science Conference, and a host of other distinguished holistic conferences in the USA.

Mother Maya is the current best-selling author of Ayurveda: A Life of Balance, the most complete work on Ayurvedic nutrition, as well as Ayurveda: Secrets of Healing, a seminal work on the Ayurvedic therapies and the definitive work on spirituality, health and healing entitled The Path of Practice-- A Woman's Book of Healing with Food, Breath and Sound.
